Poker
Playing
Video Poker is kind of like playing
Poker on a slot machine and it's a favorite for players who like
fast, frantic action. The game demands quick decision making and
a basic understanding of the different strategies for different
payout schedules.
How to Play
The basic play of Video Poker is deceptively
simple. You choose a wager and then spin. You are dealt five cards
and you decide which ones to keep by pressing a hold button underneath
the ones you want. You then spin again and get the the cards you
threw away are replaced. You can then check the pay schedule to
see if you have a winning hand. In some games, you are also given
the chance to double your winnings after a winning hand. If you
do, the dealer uncovers one of the five cards and you must pick
a higher card to double your money (ties are considered a push
and a lower card is a loss).

It sounds pretty simple and it is but there are
many different kinds of video poker and many of them have slightly
different pay schedules which call for slightly different styles
in play. To start with, it is best to learn one game and stick
with it until you feel comfortable. After that, move on to others
but don't forget to look over the pay schedules before you start.
Tip
Many games offer large jackpots but you can
only win them by playing the maximum amount of coins. If you feel
uncomfortable placing large bets than find cheaper machines and
max out the bets.
Video Poker is one your best options for pure
fun and fast action, a great game for the beginner and for the
expert alike.
